I like country side and being out in a place that’s remote enough to not see the infringement of modern life. Places like wide open fields in the middle of nowhere, or being up on hill or mountain sides. There’s a different kind of peace in those places that I really enjoy.

Fishing makes me really happy. I don’t necessarily need to catch fish, I just like to hang out in a raft or on a bank with a small BBQ and someone I enjoy. I think it works as an excuse for me to just stop and hang out for a while, since what I’m “doing” requires I sit still for a while.

We’ve decided to pause our BW Deadwood game for a while, I think Shaun needs a break. Even knowing it was ending though, I was happy with our final session. I didn’t do anything particularly badass, but I completed a lot of big-drama things concerning my character. I like sessions where what I’m doing is important enough for me to lay everything my character has on the line. For example, I  was involved in a dual of wits with my character’s son that, if I had lost, my character might have been removed from the game. Also, I made a deal with a daemon we’ve been trying to get rid of for 3/4ths of the game.

I might as well give up on trying to post daily, given my four month track record. However, I have posted one for every day this year, so bite me. A few things have gone on since I last posted. I’ve been without internet at the new apartment, and my laptop kind of finally maybe died. In addition to shutting itself off, the power button fell through the keyboard. So yeah, sans nets and sans laptop. Ah well, I have a couple of moments now so I’ll go ahead and post for the last couple of weeks.

Pre-Post Note-Promise I haven’t been a total slacker! I’m on my 10th straight day of work, in addition to trying to move! I’m trying though-I had a lot of these typed up on Monday, but here it is Thursday again…just keep hoping things will normalize one of these days…

Oh my FSM, these spring days are perfect! Sunny, warm (but not hot), and beautiful with a slight breeze! They make me want to open all the windows and sleep in the sun. These days are why I envy southern California so much-this kind of weather year round spells heaven for me!

First happy things post from the phone!!!

Nice suprises always make me happy. Friends stopping by, getting gifts, a nice letter in the mail…even an email sometimes is enough to make you smile that someone was thinking about you.

Tee-hee. Happy things. I fail. Ah well, guess I’ll go ahead and make up for the, what, two weeks I’ve been gone? There’s been a ton of stuff going on in our lives recently. I know I posted a happy thing a while ago about Shaun and I trying to get into a house soon. Well, since then, the company Shaun was working for decided to lay 30 people off and buying a house flew out the window. However we found a new apartment within the first day of looking, then went to Vegas, as well as picked up a new client in between-but that’s getting into happy tings.

This dry spell has been an interesting one. Not because I’ve been particularly busy the past little while, but more because I haven’t been able to find the motivation to post my happy things. Which, I guess, means so far I’m failing as that is the very reason I do this. I’ve been having one of those stretches where things just don’t seem to be going right at all and it’s hard to take the time to write about things that cheer you up when you’re so down. But if I don’t force myself to do it, it defeats the purpose. A lot of the intent behind this project is to focus more on what makes me happy in life so that these harder times, the days when I struggle to get through, don’t knock me down and wipe the floor with me. So that means I need to post.
